If You Think Getting Tattooed is Immoral, Read On and Change Your Minds
It is definitely a close-minded opinion to say that tattoos are immoral acts of the unsatisfied humanity. Well, some people think of it that way, because they have never truly grasped the whole idea that tattoos convey to the public and to the wearer. So to understand the art of tattooing, one should open their minds to it.
First, the history of tattoos dates back to the previous times. Back then, it was considered a religious rite or an act to acquire a tattoo for some cultures. It was part of their tribal rituals to have yourself painted with a design that signifies religious affinity.
Second, getting tattooed nowadays is a widely-accepted form of expression in the field of the arts. For them, tattoo is in itself an art form that should be recognized like any other forms. That is because it similarly defines the mantras, beliefs, personality, individuality, or confidence of the individual sporting it. It is the same with having to paint, write, or create music. Tattoos reveal the self that is trapped within our bodies.
Third, getting tattooed is clearly safe and okay, as long as you follow the standard precautionary measures on getting one. These measures include sanitary conditions, sterilized equipments, licensed professionals or tattoo artists, and certifications from local and international agencies.
If the elders find tattooing to be completely reasonable for their past society and cultures, why should we even question the act itself? Tainting our skins with beautiful designs and expressing oneself thru it is not immoral. Thinking about it that way is merely enslaving yourself, away from the absolute bliss of tattooing.
